SM Prime donates 112th school building nationwide to Calapan elementary school

SM Prime and SM Foundation have donated a new two-story, four-classroom school building to Bayanan II Elementary School in Calapan as part of the DepEd's Adopt-A-School Program.

This donation marks the 112th school building provided by the SM Group nationwide, aimed at addressing classroom shortages.

Each classroom is furnished with wood-steel armchairs, including options for left-handed students, panoramic whiteboards, and wall fans.

The building includes individual flush toilets and wash basins per classroom, a centralized handwashing station, a faculty room, a prayer room, and a clinic.

Safety features such as emergency lighting and a fire alarm system are installed, alongside accessibility provisions like an accessible restroom and a wheelchair ramp.

In partnership with Ace Hardware, the school will also receive a DigiHub equipped with computers, a smart TV, and furniture to enhance digital literacy.
