Six PH universities maintain spots in 2026 THE World University Rankings

Six universities from the Philippines have retained their spots in the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.

Ateneo de Manila University secured the top position among Philippine institutions, ranking in the 1,001-1200 band globally with an overall score of 32.1-35.4.

The University of the Philippines is listed in the 1201-1,500 range, with an overall score of 27.3-32.

De La Salle University, Mapúa University, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, and the University of Santo Tomas are all placed in the 1,501+ band.

Globally, the University of Oxford maintained its first-place position for the tenth consecutive year with a total score of 98.2.

The 2026 rankings include 2,191 universities across 115 countries and territories.

China has five universities in the top 40, an increase from the previous year.
