Veteran showbiz columnist Lolit Solis dies at 78

Veteran showbiz columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis died at 78 on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the FEU-NRMF Medical Center.

Her daughter, Sneezy Solis Mcdonald, confirmed her death, which was caused by complications from chronic kidney disease.

Gorgy Rula, the family's spokesperson, remembered Solis as a "feisty and staunch loyal supporter, manager and friend."

Several artists she managed paid tribute to her on social media, with Rocco Nacino recalling her belief in his potential as an artist.

Solis was a prominent figure in entertainment journalism, known for her frankness and for spicing up the industry through her columns and television shows.

She managed numerous stars starting in the 1980s and previously worked as a police beat reporter.

In her final days, Solis chronicled her declining health and reflections on mortality.
