Several Metro Manila universities announce academic breaks due to typhoon Ulysses

Several universities in Metro Manila, including Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), and the University of Sto. Tomas (UST), have announced academic breaks.

ADMU and UST will suspend all classes and academic activities from November 16 to 21, with ADMU extending its synchronous class suspension until November 28 while allowing asynchronous activities to resume.

Faculty at ADMU are encouraged to minimize academic requirements and be flexible with deadlines.

PUP will observe an academic break from November 16 to 27, suspending all synchronous and asynchronous activities and advising faculty to adjust submission deadlines, with the PUP College of Law's suspension lasting until November 22.

The University of the Philippines (UP) has also suspended classes and requirement submissions for the week of November 16 to 21 to allow students and faculty to recover from Typhoon Ulysses.

UP has moved the deadline for the submission of grades to January 22, 2021, and encourages its community to engage in relief efforts and volunteer work.
