Senate rejects Marcoleta's call for Ombudsman Remulla clarification

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, sponsoring the Ombudsman's budget, stated that Remulla affirmed his strict adherence to the law and Supreme Court rulings.

Marcoleta expressed concern that Remulla's public statement about bending the law could confuse the public and contradict his stance on abiding by legal principles.

The neophyte senator argued that a clarification or apology would be beneficial for the country and its citizens.
