Sen. Nancy Binay files COC for Makati mayor

Senator Nancy Binay filed her Certificate of Candidacy for Makati mayor for the 2025 midterm elections under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).

She filed her COC with the Commission on Elections in Makati, accompanied by her running-mate, former Makati Representative Monsour del Rosario.

Binay's candidacy sets up a contest against her brother-in-law, incumbent Mayor Abigail Binay's husband, Congressman Luis Campos, who confirmed he will file his COC to succeed her.

Mayor Abby Binay stated that she and Campos made their decision to run long ago and that their father, former Vice President Jejomar Binay, did not instruct her to support Nancy's bid.

She indicated that their family will "let the people decide" on who should lead the city.

Senator Binay acknowledged the long-standing support for the Binay family in Makati, noting that a family member has governed the city since 1987.

She expressed her intention to enhance basic services and explore technological solutions for efficiency and transparency, vowing to continue the Binay brand of people-centered programs.
