Sen. Bong Revilla tests positive for COVID-19

Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in isolation.

He decided to get tested after a household member and a staffer were confirmed to have the virus.

Revilla shared his firsthand experience battling the disease, noting the difficulty of being alone and weakened.

He mentioned experiencing chills, fever, a mild dry cough, and sensitivity and pain around his face.

Initially, he thought his symptoms were an allergic reaction or sore eyes, but an ophthalmologist suggested it could be COVID-19.

Revilla assured the public that his wife, Lani, and their children have tested negative for COVID-19.

He was last in the Senate on Monday, August 3, and was out on Tuesday, August 4.
