Sen. Bong Go pushes for Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act implementation after Cebu quake

Senator Christopher "Bong" Go is urging the full implementation of the Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act following the devastating 6.9-magnitude earthquake in Cebu.

The Act, principally authored and co-sponsored by Go, aims to establish permanent and disaster-resilient evacuation centers across the country.

Go visited Hacienda Filomena in Bogo City, Cebu, where a rockslide caused by the earthquake tragically killed 11 residents.

He extended his condolences to the bereaved families and provided immediate assistance and relief goods to those affected by the earthquake.

Go emphasized the importance of national solidarity and prayer for the victims and for the entire province of Cebu during this difficult time.

He argued that if the legally mandated evacuation centers had been prioritized, many lives could have been better protected during the calamity.
