Sen. Aquino lauds PBBM's focus on education

Senator Bam Aquino welcomed President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s renewed focus on education during his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA), stating it aligns with the Senate Committee on Basic Education's seven-point reform agenda.

Aquino noted that six out of the committee's seven priorities were mentioned in the SONA, expressing happiness that education will remain a top priority for the administration's remaining three years.

He pledged to ensure the implementation of these promised reforms, including addressing nutrition, classroom shortages, internet connectivity, textbook delivery, teacher support, learning recovery, and graduate employability.

Aquino assured Malacañang that the Senate is ready to pass priority measures and exercise strict oversight to ensure effective implementation.

Several bills have been filed by Aquino to support these reforms, including the Classroom Building Acceleration Program (CAP) Act, E-Textbook Para sa Lahat Act, Angat Sweldo Para sa Guro Act, and School-to-Employment Program (STEP) Act.
