Santiago City police investigate Facebook bomb threat against mayor's admin

A bomb threat posted on Facebook by an account named "Hell Victory" caused alarm in Santiago City, Isabela, on September 3, 2025.

The group claimed the threat was a protest against alleged corruption under Mayor Sheena Tan's administration and questioned the use of public funds.

Ten bombs were allegedly planned for detonation at various establishments including the Old Market, Chinabank Savings, Western Union, and BDO Unibank.

The threat was also sent to a local radio station, warning people to evacuate and stating that SWAT intervention would be ineffective.

Santiago City Vice Mayor Jamayne Tan confirmed that the local government is working with the police to verify the threat.

The Santiago City Police have urged the public to rely only on official updates and warned against spreading unverified information that could cause panic and lead to legal consequences.
