Ruru Madrid reflects on 'Lolong' taping challenges

Ruru Madrid recently finished taping for the television series "Lolong: Ang Pangil ng Maynila," marking the end of his journey as the title character.

Madrid shared that playing Lolong was challenging and required personal sacrifices, especially after he sustained an injury that impacted his mobility.

Despite facing numerous obstacles, including injuries and the pandemic, Madrid and the cast and crew persevered and supported each other.

He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to portray Lolong, a character he deeply loves, and highlighted the invaluable lessons learned from the experience.

Madrid stated that the series significantly boosted his courage and personally and professionally transformed him.

Co-stars Shaira Diaz and Martin Del Rosario also found the show to be a demanding yet rewarding experience that helped them discover new acting capabilities.
