Rufa Mae Quinto joins Your Face Sounds Familiar to cope with husband's death

Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto joined 'Your Face Sounds Familiar' as a way to heal and cope with the death of her husband, Trevor Magallanes.

She shared that she and her daughter are mourning and she wants the show to provide a distraction and bring happiness to her child.

Quinto stated that she wants to do something nice to entertain herself and bring happiness to her daughter by making people laugh, which in turn makes her happy.

The opportunity to join the show came at an opportune time for Quinto, who had been on a decade-long hiatus from full-time showbiz to focus on her family.

With her daughter now more independent, Quinto feels it is the right time to return to her career.

The latest season of 'Your Face Sounds Familiar' features a new cast including contestants Alexa Ilacad, Dia Mate, Akira Morishita of BGYO, Jarlo Base, Jason Dy, JM Dela Cerna, Marielle Montellano, and Pepe Herrera.

The show's judges are Sharon Cuneta, Gary Valenciano, and Ogie Alcasid, with Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario as new hosts, and Nyoy Volante and Klarisse de Guzman as mentors.
