RTC, MTC branches in Manila City Hall, Ombudsman, Parkview Plaza buildings under lockdown due to COVID-19 exposure

All Regional Trial Court (RTC) and Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC) branches, and the Office of the Clerk of Court in Manila City Hall, the old Ombudsman building, and Parkview Plaza building are under lockdown.

RTC branches and the Office of the Clerk of Court at Manila City Hall will be locked down from June 18 to June 30, while MTC branches and the Office of the Clerk of Court at Parkview Plaza will be locked down from June 19 to June 29.

The old Ombudsman building's lockdown was extended from June 15 to June 29.

The lockdowns were implemented after court employees were exposed to relatives who tested positive for COVID-19, and a security guard at Parkview Plaza Building tested positive for the disease.

All judges and court employees of the affected courts are required to undergo self-quarantine and conduct contact tracing.

Court operations will continue through digital platforms, including teleconference hearings and electronic filing of pleadings.

All office hotlines and emails will be strictly monitored to address urgent concerns.

The Manila city government will be conducting disinfection and sanitation operations in the affected buildings.
