Robredo spox says latest poll doesn't reflect rally surge

Vice President Leni Robredo's spokesperson, Barry Gutierrez, stated that the latest Pulse Asia presidential preference poll was conducted before the large rallies supporting Robredo.

Gutierrez emphasized that these recent 'massive' rallies have shown a significant increase in support for Robredo, believing the survey does not reflect the 'game-changing developments' and popularity surge.

The Pulse Asia survey, conducted from February 18 to 23, showed Ferdinand Marcos Jr. leading with 60%, while Robredo was in second place with 15%.

Despite the poll results, Gutierrez expressed confidence that Robredo will win the upcoming elections due to 'clear momentum from the people's campaign'.

However, Robredo herself stated that she is not alarmed by the survey results, citing her 2016 trajectory where her numbers surged in late March and April.

She noted that in 2016, candidate rankings were different at this stage of the campaign, with even current President Duterte not being the frontrunner six years prior.
