Robredo, Pangilinan rally in Solid North

Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan held a large rally in La Union, a province in the "Solid North", as part of their campaign.

The event, dubbed "Elyu Pink Wave" People's Rally, took place at Saint Louis College and drew a massive crowd from La Union and surrounding provinces.

Presidential and senatorial candidates Dick Gordon, Chel Diokno, and Neri Colmenares also attended the rally.

Despite posters of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte lining the highway, locals and some from neighboring provinces cried "Awan iti Solid North" or "There is no Solid North".

Robredo stated that despite losing the vote in La Union in the 2016 elections, her office did not forget the province, citing relief operations after Typhoons Ompong and Maring, and provision of medical supplies during the pandemic.
