Reps. Ridon says Pokwang not victim in brother's viral altercation

Bicol Saro party-list Rep. Terry Ridon has dismissed Pokwang's cyber libel threat, stating the actress-comedian is not the victim in a recent viral street altercation involving her brother.

Pokwang had previously apologized for her brother Carlo Subong's actions during the incident, where he allegedly slapped a man pushing a cart.

The comedienne criticized an unnamed lawmaker, whom Ridon identified as himself, for allegedly posting her family's photos online and violating their privacy.

Ridon clarified that he only posted photos of Carlo Subong, the individual involved in the altercation, whose actions included grave threats, physical injuries, and child abuse.

He asserted that the public has a right to know the identity of individuals who commit crimes against Filipinos.

Ridon emphasized that Carlo Subong, not Pokwang, should be the one apologizing to the nation and the victims for his conscious decision to commit criminal acts.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended Carlo's driver's license for 90 days and issued a show cause order against him.
