Rep. Ungab starts 14-day self-quarantine after Senate interaction

Davao City 3rd district Representative Isidro Ungab has started a 14-day self-quarantine as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

Ungab's decision to self-quarantine was prompted by his interaction with Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, who is also undergoing self-quarantine.

Both Ungab and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio attended a Commission on Appointments session at the Senate where they were confirmed as Army reservists with the rank of colonel.

Mayor Duterte-Carpio also began her home quarantine on Wednesday after having lunch with Senator Gatchalian.

Ungab assured his constituents that he would continue to serve them through electronic means, including phone, email, teleconference, and videoconferencing.

Ungab was recently removed as chairman of the House Appropriations Committee amidst rumors of a coup against Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano.
