Rep Pulong Duterte faces human trafficking, attempted murder raps

Davao City First District Representative Paolo "Pulong" Duterte is facing multiple criminal charges, including human trafficking, attempted murder, grave threats, and physical injuries, stemming from a February 23, 2025, altercation.

The complaint was filed by trader Kristone John Patriarca, who claims Duterte assaulted him at Hearsay Gastropub Bar.

Patriarca alleges the dispute began over unpaid fees for women he arranged for a private gathering requested by Duterte and businessman Charlie Tan.

According to Patriarca, Duterte became angry when a bodyguard was not given a companion and a woman complained about insufficient payment.

Patriarca further states that Duterte pushed him down the stairs, punched, kicked, headbutted him, threatened to kill him, and attempted to stab him with a knife.

The complainant also accused Duterte of ordering his bodyguards to lock the doors and turn off the CCTV during the incident.
