Rep. Noel Rivera's son-in-law arrested in PNP raids on his property

Two individuals, including the son-in-law of Tarlac third district Rep. Noel Rivera and his security aide, were arrested during simultaneous raids on Rivera's property in Concepcion, Tarlac.

The operation, led by the PNP-CIDG with support from SAF commandos and Army soldiers, aimed to curb loose firearms and Private Armed Groups.

Authorities seized 10 firearms with expired licenses, including a rifle with suppressor, a shotgun, various pistols, handguns, and a revolver, along with ammunition.

The arrested men were allegedly found in possession of firearms with expired licenses and permits.

Rivera is also among lawmakers tagged in anomalous flood control projects, with the Independent Commission for Infrastructure recommending criminal cases against him and seven others.

The lawmaker and his wife, who were also subjects of the warrants, have not yet issued a statement regarding the incident.
