Rep Leviste releases P3.5T DPWH budget details for 2023-2026

Batangas Rep. Leandro Leviste has released a new set of documents, purportedly from the late Public Works Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral, detailing the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) budget distribution per district, province, and region from 2023 to 2026, totaling over P3.5 trillion.

Leviste shared over 60 screenshots of these allocations on his Facebook page on Christmas Day, stating the total DPWH budget is equivalent to P130,000 per Filipino family.

He clarified that the documents released on Christmas Day cover the 2023-2026 period and are based on DPWH data with the approval of Secretary Vince Dizon, including his compilation of budget data.

This is a revision of documents Leviste released the previous day, which focused on 2025 allocations and contained 'allocable' budgets for specific districts amounting to P401.3 billion, later stated to have ballooned to P1.041 trillion due to 'outside allocable' funds.

The initial summary indicated that Central Luzon received the largest regional allocation with P406.9 billion, followed by Calabarzon with P341.8 billion, and the Bicol Region with P272.3 billion.
