Rain or Shine Elasto Painters crush NorthPort Batang Pier for first PBA Philippine Cup win

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters secured their first victory in the PBA Philippine Cup by defeating the NorthPort Batang Pier with a final score of 113-96.

Gian Mamuyac led the Elasto Painters with 22 points, including 13 in the first quarter which fueled an early 24-6 lead.

Leonard Santillan contributed a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Andrei Caracut and Caelan Tiongson added 15 points each.

Adrian Nocum added 10 points and veteran Gabe Norwood chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds for Rain or Shine.

The Elasto Painters played without Beau Belga, Shaun Ildefonso, and Keith Datu due to injuries.

NorthPort, playing without Arvin Tolentino due to hip flexor tightness, was led by William Navarro's 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Joshua Munzon and Jio Jalalon also contributed 14 and 11 points respectively for NorthPort.

The PBA All-Star festivities scheduled for May 2-3 in Panabo, Davao del Norte have been postponed due to security concerns.
