PBA: Rain or Shine inks Christian Manaytay to 2-year deal
The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters have signed rookie big man Christian Manaytay to a two-year deal.
Manaytay, the 10th overall pick in the PBA Season 50 Rookie Draft and a former standout from University of Santo Tomas, concluded his obligations with Nueva Ecija in the MPBL.
His addition is timely as the team deals with the season-ending right patellar tendon rupture of center Keith Datu.
Manaytay previously averaged 7.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists for Nueva Ecija.
He is expected to be part of the Rain or Shine contingent in their upcoming out-of-town meeting with TNT in Cagayan de Oro City.
The Elasto Painters are currently in second spot with a 5-2 record in the PBA.
