Rain or Shine takes solo PBA Philippine Cup lead after beating Converge 90-84

Rain or Shine claimed the solo lead in the PBA Philippine Cup with a 90-84 victory over Converge, improving their record to 7-2.

The Elasto Painters overcame a late one-point deficit by unleashing a crucial 9-0 run, ignited by an Andrei Caracut three-point play.

Gian Mamuyac fueled the late surge with a dunk and a triple, extending Rain or Shine's lead to 90-81.

Santi Santillan led Rain or Shine with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Mamuyac and Caracut added 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Mike Malonzo and Caelan Tiongson also contributed 10 points each, with Malonzo grabbing 10 rebounds.

For Converge, Juan Gomez de Liano scored 20 points, and Justine Baltazar had 10 points and 21 rebounds.

Larry Muyang and Alec Stockton also contributed 18 and 11 points for Converge, respectively.
