Despite the absence of key players like Keith Datu, Caelan Tiongson, Beau Belga, and Luis Villegas, Rain or Shine utilized a small ball and run-and-gun system to overcome Meralco.

Leonard Santillan led the scoring with 27 points, while Gian Mamuyac and Adrian Nocum contributed 24 points each.

Rain or Shine established a significant lead in the third quarter, with Gian Mamuyac's plays sparking their pull away.

The team's quickness and aggressiveness resulted in Meralco committing 35 fouls, leading to Rain or Shine shooting 39-of-47 from the free-throw line.

Coach Yeng Guiao emphasized playing with pace and continuously attacking Meralco's defense.

This victory improved Rain or Shine's record to 2-1, while Meralco suffered its third consecutive loss and dropped to 2-3 for the season.
