Quiapo Church announces Jan 9 traslacion for Black Nazarene feast

Quiapo Church has announced the schedule for the 2026 feast of the Black Nazarene, with the Traslacion procession set for January 9.

The Nazareno 2026 festivities will officially begin on December 31, 2025, and conclude on January 9, 2026.

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso announced that vendors will be prohibited around the vicinity of Quiapo Church from January 7 to 9, 2026.

He also urged vendors to avoid selling items with sharp objects, like sticks, to prevent injuries to barefoot devotees.

The Quiapo Church also announced that Novena Masses will be held from December 31, 2025, to January 8, 2026.

Other activities include a Thanksgiving Procession on December 31, 2025, and a Barangay Visitation in the Quiapo District from January 2 to 6, 2026.

Millions are expected to join the procession for a chance to touch the image and seek blessings.
