QC gov't vows aid, accountability for bus crash victims

The Quezon City government has pledged assistance and vowed accountability for victims of a bus crash in Infanta, Quezon, which resulted in one fatality and seven serious injuries.

The accident involved a passenger bus carrying youths from Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City, to a leadership camp that overturned on a mountainous stretch of the Marilaque Highway.

Quezon City's Legal Department is coordinating with victims, families, investigators, and relevant agencies to pursue legal action if negligence is found.

The city government mobilized resources for immediate medical aid, with some victims transferred to the East Avenue Medical Center and Quezon City General Hospital.

The local government collaborated with the Infanta local government and the Philippine Red Cross for rescue and support efforts.
