QC solon wants DOH to allow drive-thru vaccination sites

Quezon City Representative Precious Hipolito-Castelo is pushing for the Department of Health to allow drive-thru COVID-19 vaccinations to speed up the inoculation process.

She filed House Resolution 1733, proposing the implementation of drive-thru vaccination sites and suggesting walk-in options as well.

Castelo believes that new methods are needed to fast-track vaccination, especially with millions of vaccine doses expected to arrive in the coming months.

She emphasized that the expected surge in vaccine deliveries must be matched by a surge in vaccine rollout to protect as many Filipinos as possible.

Drive-thru vaccination sites could encourage hesitant individuals to get vaccinated by reducing their fear of contracting the virus at crowded inoculation centers.

This initiative also aims to alleviate overcrowding and parking issues at current vaccination sites, and addresses the issue of many Filipinos lacking internet access for online scheduling.
