Quezon City ready for PBBM's 4th SONA

Quezon City is set to host President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) today at the Batasang Pambansa complex.

Over 10,000 officers from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will be deployed for safety and security protocols, along with 2,300 personnel from the city's law and order cluster.

Mayor Joy Belmonte assured the public that the city government is on top of the SONA preparations and coordinating with the Philippine National Police (PNP) for the safety of residents and visitors.

A liquor ban will be implemented in Quezon City from 12:01 a.m. to 6 p.m. as part of security measures, as authorized by an executive order signed by Belmonte.

Belmonte stated that acts of intoxication could negatively impact the peace and order of the community.

The city's Traffic and Transport Management Department will also deploy additional personnel to manage traffic flow around the Batasang Pambansa.

Medical personnel and search and rescue teams will be on standby for emergencies.
