Qatar, nagpatupad ng travel ban mula sa Pilipinas, 13 pang bansa
Qatar has temporarily banned travelers from 14 countries, including the Philippines, starting March 9 as a precautionary measure against the novel coronavirus.
The travel ban includes China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria, and Thailand.
Qatar Airways had previously suspended flights to and from Italy.
As of Sunday, Qatar had confirmed 15 cases of COVID-19.
In the Philippines, the Department of Health reported 10 cases of COVID-19, with two recoveries and one death.
The DFA is addressing the situation of Filipinos who might be stranded in UAE and Qatar airports due to the travel ban imposed by Kuwait.
