Pulse Asia poll: Sara Duterte, Pres. Duterte lead pre-election survey

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and President Rodrigo Duterte are the top picks for the 2022 presidential and vice presidential elections, respectively, according to a June Pulse Asia poll.

The survey, conducted among 2,400 respondents from June 7-16, found that 28% of Filipinos prefer Sara as president and 18% want President Duterte as vice president.

Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko" Domagoso III emerged as the second choice for president with 14% voter preference, followed by Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. (13%).

The Davao City mayor, who previously stated she would not run for president, recently revealed she is open to joining the presidential race.

Majority Leader Martin Romualdez called the survey results a validation of the people's confidence and satisfaction in the Dutertes' public service.

Romualdez believes Mayor Sara Duterte's numbers will increase and that a Duterte-Duterte tandem would be the "dream team" for 2022.
