Pulang Araw to stream on Netflix July 26 ahead of GMA airing

The Kapuso family drama 'Pulang Araw' will begin streaming on Netflix starting July 26, 72 hours before its local airing on GMA on July 29.

The announcement was made by the cast, including Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, Alden Richards, and David Licauco, in a video shared on social media.

The series is set during World War II and features fighter jets and warning sirens in its teaser.

Barbie Forteza and Sanya Lopez portray half-sisters Adelina and Teresita, with Teresita becoming a comfort woman during the Japanese occupation.

Alden Richards plays Adelina's half-brother Eduardo, who has American blood, while David Licauco portrays a Japanese man named Hiroshi.

Dennis Trillo will take on his first kontrabida role as Japanese soldier Yuta Saito.
