PTV general manager Toby Nebrida's resignation accepted

The courtesy resignation of Toby Nebrida as general manager of People's Television Network (PTV) has been accepted, as announced by Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Ad Interim Secretary Jay Ruiz.

Oscar Orbos has been appointed as the officer-in-charge of PTV, replacing Nebrida.

The move follows earlier disclosures by Ruiz regarding alleged complaints from PTV employees.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin had previously directed all presidential appointees under the PCO to submit unqualified courtesy resignations.

This directive was issued to grant the PCO secretary the freedom to choose personnel and implement policies effectively.

Ruiz emphasized that the request for courtesy resignations was not personal but a standard procedure to ensure trust and familiarity among the PCO team.
