Gapay, other senior AFP officials not yet vaccinated vs. COVID-19, spox says
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) confirmed that some members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) have been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines.
AFP chief Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana stated that both officials and non-commissioned officers were vaccinated, but refused to disclose specific units or exact numbers.
Sobejana mentioned that President Rodrigo Duterte, as Commander-in-Chief, is part of the chain of command from which the vaccines originated.
However, AFP spokesman Major General Edgard Arevalo clarified that the Chief of Staff, himself, and other high-ranking military officials have not yet been vaccinated.
