‘Pato’ heads sports tourism body
The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is spearheading the newly formed National Sports Tourism Inter-Agency Committee (NST-IAC), an initiative approved by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to boost the country's sports tourism sector.
The NST-IAC, established through Administrative Order No. 38, is mandated to harmonize, coordinate, and oversee all government efforts in sports tourism.
PSC chief Patrick Gregorio will chair the committee, with the Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco serving as vice-chair.
Members of the committee include the heads of the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Budget and Management, TIEZA, and PAGCOR.
