The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has initiated early preparations for the 2024 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) by launching the Women's Indoor & Para Games Festival.

This 10-day event aims to unite and strengthen female athletes from various sports in anticipation of the AIMAG.

Over 400 athletes and officials are participating in the festival, which includes competitions in athletics, bowling, chess, fencing, netball, and para-athletics.

Commissioner Olivia Coo expressed confidence that the rescheduling of AIMAG will benefit the national team's training and preparation.

Competitions for bowling began on June 14, followed by chess and para chess on July 15, with other events scheduled throughout the week.

The festival is supported by Milo Philippines and Pocari Sweat.
