PSC races to finish Rizal tennis center for PH Women's Open

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is fast-tracking renovations at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, particularly the tennis center, for the upcoming Philippine Women's Open.

PSC Chairman Patrick Gregorio announced that the renovation work on the tennis center is approximately 70% complete.

The refurbishment is a collaboration between the PSC and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), with work continuing through the holidays.

The Philippine Women's Open, the country's first WTA 125 event, is scheduled from January 26 to 31.

Gregorio emphasized that the upgrades are not just for current players like Alex Eala but also for the future generation of Filipino tennis players.
