PSC eyes Bukidnon complex for boxer training

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has identified the Bukidnon Sports and Cultural Complex as a prime location for national boxers to train for international competitions.

PSC Chairman Patrick Gregorio praised the world-class facilities, noting they are comparable to training centers worldwide.

Senator Miguel Zubiri, who spearheaded the complex's development, toured Gregorio around the 13-hectare facility in Malaybalay, Bukidnon.

The complex features a 15,000-seat stadium, an eight-lane track and field oval, a football field, and an aquatics center with an Olympic-size swimming pool and diving pool.

A 3,000-seat gymnasium designed for basketball, badminton, and martial arts is also available, along with tennis courts, an open field, an auditorium, and a museum.

Bukidnon Governor Oneil Roque and Malaybalay City Mayor Warren Pabillaran expressed their support for designating the complex as a regional training center for national athletes.
