PSC Batang Pinoy Games opens with nearly 25,000 delegates

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is hosting the largest Batang Pinoy Games in history in General Santos City, aiming to discover future sports stars with nearly 25,000 delegates.

Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz headlined the opening ceremony.

Pacquiao, a native of General Santos City, inspired the youth to strive for their dreams and carry on the torch for Philippine sports.

He stated that success is for those who do not give up and always trust in God, sharing his own journey of dreaming and achieving success in his hometown.

Pacquiao and Diaz led the torch relay before PSC Chairman Pato Gregorio officially declared the Games open across 27 sports.

The Batang Pinoy Games serve as a crucial platform for grassroots athletes, fostering their development from local competitions to potential national and international success.
