POGO rep Cassandra Ong sighted in Japan, wanted for human trafficking

The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) confirmed that Cassandra Ong, representative of the POGO hub Lucky South 99, was last seen in Japan in the first quarter of 2024.

An active warrant of arrest for qualified human trafficking has been issued by a court in Angeles City, Pampanga against Ong, who is identified as the girlfriend of Wesley Guo, brother of ousted Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.

Authorities raided Lucky South 99, which allegedly served as a large scam hub that trafficked workers, leading to a separate human trafficking case involving the compound in Porac filed against Ong.

Indonesian authorities apprehended Ong, Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, and Sheila Guo in August 2024 for being 'suspicious foreigners' and sent them back to the Philippines to face immigration violations.

The International Police Organization (Interpol) has issued a red notice against Ong and Ronelyn Baterna, the corporate secretary of Lucky South 99.

The PAOCC is tracking Ong and Baterna following the issuance of their arrest warrants, but they were under the radar.
