PNVF clarifies 1XBET logo visibility only in global feed

Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) President Ramon "Tats" Suzara clarified that the gambling site 1XBET's logo was only visible in the global feed of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.

Suzara's statement came after Senator Erwin Tulfo raised concerns about the alleged display of the gambling site's logo during the games.

He emphasized that 1XBET is illegal in the Philippines, and therefore, its logos are not shown on local television channels.

The PNVF president also mentioned that the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) had previously informed them about the restrictions on using such logos.

Suzara also responded to critics regarding the hosting of the championship, particularly concerning empty seats during the pool phase.

He acknowledged that some games might not have drawn large crowds due to the absence of popular teams, but noted that ticket discounts were offered for the remainder of the tournament.

Suzara stated that audience reception has been "good," and cited the full attendance for games featuring popular teams like Japan and the USA as evidence.

He also suggested that fans might be choosing which games to attend later in the tournament, especially for the Round of 16 and quarterfinals.
