97% of PNP personnel in W. Visayas avail of Covid-19 jabs
As of September 29, 2021, 164,787 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel, representing 73.98% of the force, are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
An additional 50,019 personnel (22.46%) have received their first vaccine dose, leaving 7,937 individuals (3.56%) unvaccinated.
In Western Visayas, the Police Regional Office (PRO6) has achieved a 97% vaccination rate, with 9,981 personnel fully vaccinated and 3,087 having received their first dose.
Only 3.1% of PRO6 personnel, or 421 individuals, remain unvaccinated, many with medical reasons such as pregnancy or recent COVID-19 infection.
The PNP chief, Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, is encouraging more vaccinations through an intensified information drive, while also respecting individual decisions.
The Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) in Western Visayas has the highest vaccination rate at 99%, while the regional headquarters and Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) are at 95%.
