PNP quarantine facilities reach full capacity amid rising COVID-19 cases

All COVID-19 quarantine and isolation facilities inside Camp Crame are at full capacity as of Friday, January 14, 2022.

The 287 rooms in the Kiangan Emergency Treatment Facility and other facilities within the PNP headquarters are fully occupied.

Despite full capacity, the PNP can still accommodate personnel by room sharing, especially for infected families, or by transferring them to other isolation facilities within NCR or those owned by LGUs.

The PNP is awaiting formal guidelines from the Department of Health on a shortened isolation period to help decongest facilities.

PNP Chief Police General Dionardo Carlos previously ordered additional beds and areas for infected personnel.

He assured that the police organization's operational capabilities would not be hampered by the rising cases among its personnel.
