PNP promotes over 10,000 officers nationwide

A total of 10,379 police officers nationwide were promoted, including 556 Police Commissioned Officers and 9,823 Police Non-Commissioned Officers.

Among the newly promoted commissioned officers were 82 promoted to Police Lieutenant Colonel, 131 to Police Major, and 199 to Police Captain.

Additionally, 144 Police Executive Master Sergeants were elevated to Police Lieutenant.

The promotions for non-commissioned officers included significant numbers across various ranks, such as 4,951 Patrolmen and Patrolwomen promoted to Police Corporal.

Acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. administered the oath for personnel based at Camp Crame, reminding them that promotion signifies bigger responsibility.

The PNP stated that these promotions are based on merit, performance, and length of service, reflecting the organization's commitment to professional growth and service to the Filipino people.
