PNP-HPG to boost visibility on roads outside NCAP

The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) will increase its visibility and enforcement on roads not covered by the No-Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP).

PNP-HPG spokesperson Lt. Nadame Malang stated that 120 HPG personnel are deployed in Metro Manila, with an additional 1,500 personnel to be deployed nationwide.

This initiative aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and address violations, especially the concealment of license plates to avoid detection.

The NCAP was reinstated on May 26 along major thoroughfares managed by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) after the Supreme Court lifted the TRO on the policy.

Over 5,000 violators were apprehended in the first week of the NCAP's reimplementation.
