Nueva Ecija deploys 246 cops for school opening
The Philippine National Police (PNP) will deploy over 37,700 police personnel nationwide to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school staff on the opening day of classes.
This deployment is part of Oplan Balik-Eskwela 2025-2026 and will cover 45,974 schools across the country.
To provide assistance and security, the PNP will establish 5,079 police assistance desks near school premises.
Additionally, police officers will be visible through mobile and foot patrols.
In Nueva Ecija, at least 246 police officers have been deployed across 104 public and private schools, with 32 police assistance desks established.
The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region police will deploy 2,898 personnel to 657 schools in Mindanao.
PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III emphasized that the safety of the school community is the utmost priority, aiming for a fear-free return to school for students.
