PNP-Sosia probes mall guard over alleged mistreatment of girl

The PNP-Supervisory Office on Security and Investigation Agency (Sosia) is investigating a mall security guard for allegedly mistreating a young girl and destroying sampaguita flowers.

The security guard, employed by Redeye II Security Services, Inc., appeared at Sosia with his legal counsel and agency operations manager, and is expected to submit his counter-affidavit by Thursday, January 23.

Authorities have informed all parties about the preliminary investigation and the required documents and affidavits.

The PNP-Civil Security Group (CSG) will also summon the sampaguita vendor involved to obtain her side of the story.

The CSG stated that if the vendor does not appear, the preliminary evaluation will proceed based on the security guard's submitted documents seven days after their submission.

Based on the viral video, the security guard snatched and destroyed the girl's sampaguita bundles, leading to a physical altercation.

The girl, who appeared to be in high school uniform, retaliated by hitting the guard with the destroyed flowers.
