PNP: Quiboloy still in KOJC compound despite conflicting reports

The Philippine National Police (PNP) maintains that fugitive televangelist Apollo Quiboloy remains within his Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City, despite conflicting reports.

PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo stated that intelligence and monitoring indicate Quiboloy is still present, contrary to remarks made by Vice President Sara Duterte.

Fajardo emphasized that the PNP cannot accept reports of Quiboloy leaving the compound at face value, citing their current information and ongoing efforts.

The police believe they are about 50 percent through with their search and are close to locating Quiboloy within specific areas of the suspected underground facility.

The PNP's operations have been delayed by the KOJC's blocking of gates and buildings.

Fajardo reiterated that the PNP's actions are consistent with the Rules of Court, allowing them to break into buildings if the person they are seeking is believed to be inside.

She also dismissed claims by KOJC supporters that Quiboloy's life would be in danger if he surrenders, assuring his safety.

Chief PNP Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil has personally assured Quiboloy's safety if he chooses to surrender.
