PNP chief shows Marcos Jr. 5-minute emergency response capability

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III demonstrated the police force's 5-minute emergency response to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during the 124th Police Service Anniversary Celebration at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

During the demonstration at the PNP Command Center, Torre instructed the Trece Martires City Police Station in Cavite to deploy a unit to the city hall, which served as the alarm location.

Torre explained the real-time maps, live monitoring systems, and GPS-integrated tools that enable police to track incidents and reduce response time.

He also stated that the public no longer needs to look for a police officer on the street as the system is equipped to provide immediate assistance "anytime, anywhere."

Around 60 percent, or more than 10.5 million, of 911 emergency calls from August 2024 to June this year have been successfully handled or processed.
