Pixies to hold first Manila concert on May 10 2026

American rock band Pixies will hold their first-ever concert in Manila on May 10, 2026, at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, Muntinlupa, to celebrate their 40th anniversary.

Tickets for the show, dubbed "Pixies 40 in Manila," will be available starting November 13 at 10 a.m. via www.tickelo.com/pixies, with regular general admission tickets costing P4,450.

Formed in Boston in 1986, the band, known for their "loud-quiet-loud" sound, is recognized as highly influential in the 1980s alternative rock scene.

Pixies, currently composed of Black Francis, Fil-Am Joey Santiago, David Lovering, and bassist Emma Richardson, maintains significant popularity with 10.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and The Strokes cite Pixies as an influence, and they are known for hits such as "Where is My Mind?" and "Here Comes Your Man."
