Pinky Amador jokes about buying 'fake news' from Anthony Taberna

Actress Pinky Amador visited restaurateur Anthony Taberna's establishment and jokingly asked to buy "fake news," referencing Taberna's earlier accusations against Senator Risa Hontiveros.

Taberna, in response, stated on Facebook that his restaurant does not sell "fake news" and invited Amador to try his rice crackers instead.

He also posted a photo of his restaurant with customers, captioning it "Thank you for patronizing faith news," a clear play on Amador's remark.

Senator Hontiveros has denied making insertions to the 2025 national budget, asserting that she opposed its passage.

Amador's initial visit and statement were a response to Taberna's claims on his radio program that Hontiveros inserted provisions into the budget amid corruption allegations against other senators.
